The Association of Malaysia Medical Industries (AMMI) consist of 40 members companies
AMMI members share a common commitment to quality and are reputable
international and local firms that strictly adhere to the Quality
Management System codes laid down by governmental agencies.
The Association was formed in 1989 during a period of significant
increases in the export of latex medical gloves to major western markets
with some reports of quality issues for products from some quick start
up operations.
The Association also provides a single-minded approach
to addressing specific issues that face the industry:
- To take proactive action to minimize any
negative effects deriving from issues which could be faced in
the future
- To provide a strong cohesive voice for the
industry
- To promote the growth of the medical device
industry in the country
